Construction Safety Identity

Idaho Traffic Safety specializes in traffic control and traffic safety solutions. They have served Idaho and Wyoming construction/utility companies for the last 30 years. They also make traffic and road signs and specialty signs and offer highway and road striping.

The company recently changed ownership and was ready for a fresh new look. The original logo was a bit outdated and difficult to read. The new owner wanted to play around with symbols and use something that could not only stand on it its own, but stand out above the rest.

Our designers knew that to achieve this, they would need a simple shape with a strong and clear message providing insight to what the company does. The symbol has a message that is two-fold; it combines the look of a classic orange road work sign with a road. As far as colors go, the combination of orange and black was a clear choice for this project, as those colors are often strongly associated with construction/road work.

Once the logo was finalized, business cards needed to be created. To maintain the strong, simple, professional look, a clean and minimal approach was taken.
